Cyprus Flourmillers Association Hosts the Executive Committee of the European Flourmillers Association

The Cyprus Flourmillers Association had the distinct pleasure and honour of hosting the European Flour Millers Association and welcoming its Executive Committee to Cyprus for the proceedings of its Executive Committee Meeting , held in spirit of meaningful  dialogue and cooperation.


The visit programme included a welcome dinner, giving its members of the Executive Committee of the European Flourmillers Association the opportunity to meet with the members of the Cyprus Flourmillers Association from Mitsides Public Company Ltd and Cyprus Millers by Hadjigiorkis.  


The meeting took place at the facilities of Cyprus Millers by Hadjigiorkis, on Friday, 30 January 2026. The day’s activities began with a traditional Cypriot breakfast,  offering guests to the change to experience Cyprus’ rich gastronomy heritage.



The Executive Committee Meeting was addressed by representatives of the  Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment. After their departure, a three-hour working session followed, during which important matters concerning the progress and the future of the flour-milling industry were discussed.


Following the conclusion of the meeting, a lunch was offered to the guests, after which they were guided through the Hadjigiorkis Flourmill Museum. There, visitors learned about various aspects of Cyprus’ agricultural and cultural heritage, as well as the country’s traditions surrounding the art of milling.


The accompanying persons of the Committee members were also offered a  guided experience at  the Cyherbia Botanical Park, where they attended workshops on traditional Cypriot embroidery and botany.


The day’s programme concluded with a tour of the Production, Packaging and Quality Control Units of Cyprus Millers by Hadjigiorkis.
