VASILOPITA

Fluffy vasilopita, full of aroma and flavor! Sharing tradition and good fortune with every slice!


Ingredients:

 400gr.

 250gr.

350gr.

250gr.

Eggs

300gr.

Whole Fresh Milk

50gr.

Roasted Almonds, Coarsely Ground

6gr. 

10gr.


 

Preparation:

Weigh all the ingredients. Place the shortening and sugar in the mixer bowl. Mix the flour with the baking powder in a separate bowl.


Method:

Using the paddle attachment, beat the shortening and sugar in the mixer on high speed for 5 minutes until light and fluffy. Gradually add the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Alternately add the flour mixture and milk in batches, mixing until combined. Finally, add the orange flavoring, orange zest, and coarsely chopped roasted almonds.


Shaping:

Pour the entire mixture into a 22cm ring mold and spread evenly.


Baking:

Bake at 170°C for 55 minutes.
